It all started one warm Florida morning when Ken Harvey had an insatiable yearning for a pop-tart...

No, but seriously folks, Mike can only dance to surf music or jazzy techno.

A wagon fulla pancakes? In the champeenship? I'd like to see you try!

I wish the Kansas City Hotsteppers were a real group.

..."Well, I think we all learned a valuable lesson today," said Tony Pena. And Ken Harvey just chuckled and grinned.

Well, I don't have anything particularly enlightening to report, but some people AKA why the fuck are you checking my xanga? have been badgering me for an update.

I am in college now. At least that's what they tell me. I have no reason to disbelieve them. It's going alright. Honors classes are really hard. Regular classes are really easy.

And now, for lack of a better idea, EVIL STEVE!

Scratch that, I just remembered what a bitch it is to put pictures up on xanga. I'll leave evil Steve to your imagination.

Nobody fucks with the Jesus!

Yeah, so I just watched The Big Lebowski. Pretty fucking cool movie, man. I liked it better than Fargo, ya?

<edit> I watched Lebowski with that Swyers kid </edit>

Also, is it just me or does Steve Buscemi have an uncanny resemblance to Royals pitcher Mike MacDougal?

 =  ?

That was a rhetorical question by the way.

I had KU orientation this week. It was alright. It seemed like most of the kids were either from Overland Park or a small town in the middle of Kansas. I met my roommate, he seemed alright. And he has a mini-fridge. My favorite part of orientation: seeing the reaction of several parents when the speaker clarified that a liberal education did not in fact mean liberal.

I saw Anchorman last weekend. I thought it was really good, but my companions disagreed to various degrees.

Remember: The Jesus, don't fuck with him.

It's all set then.

Sunday, July 11th, John and I will be attending a They Might be Giants in Omaha.

I'm very excited. I ordered this:
t-shirt tonight online, hoping it'll get here in time.

TMBG's new album, The Spine comes out on July 13th. Looking forward to that much.

-----------------------------

I've seen an abnormal amount of movies this past week.

Spiderman 2: Very good. They've definitely got the right idea on how to make a superhero movie. The key is the characters, not the action.

Harry Potter and POA: Very good. Best one in the series. Too bad they couldn't get the director (Cuaron) for more than one movie.

Farenheit 9/11: Good. Very interesting. Michael Moore is an ass, but an ass with several good points.

Dodgeball: Pretty good. About what you'd expect if you've seen any of the trailers or commercials.
